摘要: To investigate genetic diversity and phylogeography of the Asian leopard cat (Felis bengalensis), mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) sequences were determined for 39 individuals from various areas. Sequences combining complete cytochrome b gene (1,140 bp) with partial control region (646–810 classified into 24 haplotypes: 21 types animals, one eight animals Tsushima Islands, Iriomote Island, two Southeast Asia. Phylogenetic trees haplotypes clearly showed three clades: a Northern Lineage Southern Lineages 1 2. The consisted Korean Peninsula, continental Far East, Taiwan, Island. Within Lineage, contacts could have occurred between geographically neighboring populations before isolation by straits. 1, comprising higher diversity. 2 had large distances other lineages. region, cats shared to four repetitive motifs, number motifs their constitution highly variable among individuals. polymorphic even within be 31 types. Finally, males mtDNA either Y-chromosomal ZFY, whereas all only type. Our results indicate that southern is differentiation northern local reflects past geographical isolation.
