摘要: This article reveals different patterns of scholarly communication in the XML research field on web and print journals terms author visibility, challenges common practice exclusively using ISI's databases to obtain citation counts as scientific performance indicators. Results from this study demonstrate both importance feasibility use multiple data sources analysis studies communication, provide evidence for a developing "two tier" system.
