摘要: Compensation point and light-saturation values were determined from oxygen-exchange experiments with branches isolated zooxanthellae the staghorn coral Acropora acuminata. Branches dense suspensions of showed similar lightresponse curves for oxygen exchange, light saturation at about 23 Klux (300 W. m-2) compensation occurring between 4 6 (60–80 m-2). Zooxanthellae appear to be mutually shaded in tissues. The effects metabolic inhibitors, including photosynthetic respiratory inhibitiors, on exchange are presented. Bubbles formed tissues several macroalgae under conditions high illumination contained large amounts oxygen, suggesting that a tension may occur during day. Photorespiration dissolved organic carbon production by discussed relation which probably occurs daylight.
