Glycosides are naturally-occurring plant secondary metabolites significant medicinal potential scope as antidepressant. The aim of this review is focus on antidepressant effects glycosides preclinical studies, an emphasis possible mechanisms. literature search revealed that only a few phytoglycosides have been evaluated for relevance depression alleviation. Through tests, it has come forth efficacy mediated by modulation brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDFN) hippocampus, known promoting synaptic neuronal connectivity neuroplasticity.
