摘要: The bursa of Fabricius is critical for B cell development and differentiation in chick embryos. This study describes the production vitro, from dissociated suspensions, cellular agglomerates with functional similarities to chicken bursa. Co-cultivation epithelial lymphoid cells obtained embryos at appropriate developmental stage regularly led agglomerate formation within 48 hours. These resembled bursal tissue having clusters overlaid by well organized epithelium. Whereas lymphocytes were predominantly Bu-1a+, a majority those emigrating onto supporting membrane Bu-1a− IgM+. Both emigrant expressed activation-induced deaminase levels increasing after 24 Emigrating actively proliferating rate excess both starting population remaining agglomerates. potential usefulness this system investigating response avian Newcastle disease virus (strain AF2240) was examined.
