摘要: Sociocultural pressures to be thin and exercise frequency have been reportedly related female adolescents’ body esteem in previous research. Using 490 middle school students Korea, this study examined the mediating role of thin-ideal internalization on relationships sociocultural pressure (i.e., parental, peer, media) esteem. The results indicated that parental only had a direct relationship with esteem, but no indirect relationship. Media pressure, peer were indirectly, not directly, through internalization. implications future directions research are discussed.
