Efficacy of different protocols of vaccination against porcine circovirus type 2 (PCV2) in a farm affected by postweaning multisystemic wasting syndrome (PMWS).

摘要: In order to control growing problems associated with porcine circovirus type 2 (PCV2) several vaccines for piglets or sows were introduced recently. An objective of the study was compare an efficacy three different vaccination protocols in herd acute postweaning multisystemic wasting syndrome (PMWS) outbreak affecting 3-month-old pigs. All applied protocols, namely sows, and Circovac proved be efficacious controlling PMWS. production parameters significantly improved after vaccination. Obtained values as good before even better case average daily weight gains. However, decreased mortality weaning recorded only while groups where vaccinated lower fourth month life observed. The impact on suggests that they could adopted herds problems.
