摘要: In Burkholderia cenocepacia, the second messenger cyclic diguanosine monophosphate (c-di-GMP) has previously been shown to positively regulate biofilm formation and expression of cellulose type-I fimbriae genes through binding transcriptional regulator Bcam1349. Here, we provide evidence that are not involved in B. cenocepacia flow chambers, identify a novel Bcam1349/c-di-GMP-regulated exopolysaccharide gene cluster which is essential for formation. Overproduction Bcam1349 trans promotes wrinkly colony morphology, pellicle, cenocepacia. A screen transposon mutants unable respond overproduction led identification 12-gene cluster, Bcam1330–Bcam1341, products appear be production putative matrix flow-chamber We demonstrate binds promoter region Bcam1330–Bcam1341 this enhanced by presence c-di-GMP. Furthermore, both c-di-GMP leads increased transcription these genes, indicating functions together regulating from cluster. Our results suggest product encoded major provides structural stability biofilms formed its regulated promotion activity
