摘要: The influence of cirrhosis on superparamagnetic iron oxide (SPIO)-enhanced magnetic resonance (MR) imaging the liver was studied in 31 rats. Experimental models included carbon tetrachloride-induced and engrafting rhabdomyosarcoma S4T cells. Hepatic uptake SPIO measured with relaxometry decreased dramatically histologic grade, while splenic increased; same results were achieved by calculating K values. Imaging 13 tumorous cirrhotic rats confirmed these showing a muted decrease signal intensity spin-echo images after injection SPIO. Nevertheless, all intrahepatic tumors could be visualized, as postmortem examination. On gradient-echo images, postinjection contrast between tumor not affected cirrhosis. Thus, despite strong impairment hepatic cirrhosis, diagnostic efficacy MR did seem to significantly affected.
