摘要: Abstract On the continental shelf off Mid Norway at water depths ranging from 150 to 350 m, large areas of seabed consist plastic clays with a rugged surface topography and an amorphous (opaque) subsurface acoustic appearance. Five topographic (side-scan sonar) shallow seismic examples are presented discussed. Many mounds ridges suspected be clay diapiric nature. Numerous gas seepages originating opaque have also been found Norway. A tentative formation model for dome-shaped features is proposed. The based on differential charging sediments diapirism caused by buoyancy.
