摘要: PURPOSE OF REVIEW This review highlights recent advances in cerebral microdialysis for investigational and clinical neurochemical monitoring patients with critical neurological conditions. RECENT FINDINGS Use of other methods, including PET, electrophysiological brain tissue oximetry traumatic injury, subarachnoid hemorrhage vasospasm, infarction refractory increased intracranial pressure have been reported. Potentially adverse effects nonconvulsive status epilepticus cortical slow depolarization waves, both which are increasingly recognized injury stroke patients, The explosive growth the use targeted management oxygen levels is leading to greater understanding derangements bioenergetics critically ill brain, but there remain unresolved basic issues. Understanding analytes that measurable at bedside - glucose, lactate, pyruvate, glutamate glycerol continues evolve pyruvate lactate-pyruvate ratio taking center stage. Analytes inflammatory biomarkers such as cytokines metabolites nitric oxide presently investigational, hold promise future application advancing our pathophysiology, therapeutic target selection prognostication. Growing consensus on indications commercially available equipment continue make 'ready prime time.' SUMMARY Cerebral an established tool research ICU. technique cannot be fruitfully used isolation, when combined methods provides unique insights into biochemical physiological injured brain.
