摘要: This study was carried out to assess the relationship between job characteristics(job strain) and psychosocial distress, find effect of social support on distress. The design cross-sectional, included 1,211 industrial workers in middle-sized city. A self-administered questionnaire measured characteristics(jod demand, control), support(coworker support, supervisor support) at work. Psychosocial distress using PWI(Psychosocial Well-being Index), a 45-item instrument. Among respondents, prevalence 24.8% High stram (high demand + low control) present 8% subjects. crude odds ratio high strain 4.76 (95% CI : 2.60-8.74), those active group passive were 3.81(95% 1.82-3.95) 2.64(95% 1.77-3.94), respectively. ratios each adjusted for sex, age, religion still significant.
