摘要: The present paper provides an up to date restatement of the wetting behaviour series cyanobiphenyl liquid crystals (LCs) on usual substrates, i.e. oxidized silicon wafers, water and glycerol, at both macroscopic microscopic scale, in nematic range temperature. We show that systems are close a transition, especially 5CB 7CB. In case, is controlled by presence impurities. On mesoscopic we observe for all our (thin LC film-substrate) identical, complex, but well defined general scenario, not accounted available models. last part, study line tension which results from specific organization LCs edge film. report preliminary two-dimensional film coalescence where this plays major role.
