摘要: Abstract 1. Addition of glucose to Ehrlich ascites tumour cells is able release partially the inhibition by rotenone endogenous respiration in hyperdiploid strain, but has almost no effect on rotenone-blocked Lettremutant strain. 2. Measurements redox changes cytochromes b , c and nicotinamide-adenine nucleotides rotenone-inhibited indicate that, upon addition glucose, (a) a translocation glycolytic reducing equivalents mitochondrial does occur strain (b) reversal electron transport stimulated increase phosphate potential Lettremutant. 3. Analysis α-glycerophosphate dehydrogenase activity two strains shows that level this enzyme low Lettrecells much higher (about 20 times) cells. Consequently, rotenone-treated cells, formed quantities adequate for operation shuttle only latter These findings suggest mainly responsible aerobic oxidation found wild On other hand, during breakdown presence slight differences are lactate accumulation between strains. 4. It concluded high rate glycolysis cannot be dependent, as suggested authors, lack system transfer NADH respiratory chain beyond first phosphorylation site.
