摘要: We analysed concentrations of Cu, Cd and Pb in above belowground tissues the halophyte species Halimione portulacoides Spartina maritima, as well sediments pore water between roots a Tagus estuary salt marsh (Portugal). From these results we calculated pools metals compartments mentioned above. Relative percentages accumulation each pool were also determined. Our aim was to determine how type vegetation affects overall metal retention capacity system. It concluded that areas colonised by H. are potential sources ecosystem, whereas S. maritima more effective sinks at least for Cu Cd. Consequently, seems contribute effectively stabilisation sediments, reducing their availability estuarine
