摘要: Abstract Friction stir welding between AA5052-H32 aluminium plates is performed by central composite design technique of response surface methodology. It found that the parameters such as tool pin profile, rotational speed, and tilt angle play a major role in deciding joint characteristics. The joints fabricated using tapered square profile with speed 600 r/min, 65 mm/min, 1.5° result an unexpected weld efficiency 93.51%. Mathematical models are developed to map correlation responses (ultimate tensile strength elongation) these optimized maximize ultimate friction welded joint. Response plots generated from mathematical used interpret interaction effects on variables. Adequacy validated analysis variance (ANOVA) technique. Results confirmatory experiments plotted scatter diagram show good agreement predicted models. Different grain structures various zones examined observing micro macro weld.
