摘要: The central dogma of molecular biology defines the major route for transfer genetic information from genomic DNA to messenger RNA three-dimensional proteins that affect structure and function. Like alternative splicing, post-transcriptional conversion adenosine inosine (A-to-I) by editing can dramatically expand diversity transcriptome generate multiple, functionally distinct protein isoforms a single locus. While has been identified in virtually all tissues, such modifications have best characterized RNAs encoding both ligand- voltage-gated ion channels neurotransmitter receptors.
