摘要: An increasing number of quality criteria are involved in the evaluation final malt. This implies a comprehensive evaluation, normally based on experience and prior knowledge by maltster/brewer/breeder. paper describes principle in, use of, fuzzy logic for translation complex malt profile into simple univariate overall index (OQI). The approach was tested data set 50 samples including eleven parameters according to European Brewery Convention. The presented involves three steps: i) an appropriate definition how good certain parameter level is, ii) sound way combine several iii) express all these individual parameters, taking their relative importance account. OQI here turned out be samples, thus provides reducing automating evaluation. It is furthermore shown that near infrared transmittance spectra showed reasonable ability predict calculated OQI. Hereby, both analysis efforts malting barley breeding can reduced considerably.
