摘要: Prostacyclin is an endogenous lipid metabolite with properties of vasodilation and anti-platelet aggregation. While the effects prostacyclin on vascular protection have been well-documented, role this eicosanoid in central nervous system has not extensively studied. Recently, a transgenic mouse containing hybrid enzyme, cyclooxygenase-1 linked to synthase, was developed that produces elevated levels vivo. The goal study investigate whether increased biosynthesis could affect behavioral phenotypes mice. Our results uncovered broadly both cognitive non-cognitive behaviors, including decreased anxiety-like behavior improved learning fear-conditioning memory test. This demonstrates plays important, but previously unrecognized, function behavior.
