摘要: Static strain in complex oxide heterostructures1, 2 has been extensively used to engineer electronic and magnetic properties at equilibrium3. In the same spirit, deformations of crystal lattice with light may be achieve functional control across heterointerfaces dynamically4. Here, by exciting large-amplitude infrared-active vibrations a LaAlO3 substrate we induce order melting NdNiO3 film heterointerface. Femtosecond resonant soft X-ray diffraction is determine spatiotemporal evolution disordering. We observe melt front that propagates from interface into film, speed suggests electronically driven motion. Light ultrafast phase propagation lead new opportunities optomagnetism, for example driving domain wall motion transport information suitably designed devices.
