摘要: The main focus of this work is to model macroscopically the effects partial saturation upon permeability dual scale fibrous media made fiber bundles when a Newtonian viscous fluid impregnates it. A new phenomenological proposed explain discrepancies between experimental pressure results and analytical predictions based on Darcy's law. This incorporates essential features relative but without necessity measuring liquid for its prediction. very relevant small industrial systems where forced flow through porous medium. It requires four parameters. Two them are two values length scales. One order magnitude individual radius corresponds completely staurated medium, other distance partially saturated parameters lengths regions domain. region fully domain can be directly measured from experiments. excellent agreement inlet profile with respect time suggests that may used describe variation behind moving front in such correct also characterize medium by determining different permeabilities importance unsaturated portion given architecture.
