Phonon modes in Pd-Pt and other substitutional alloys with large mass disorder

摘要: Firstly we report here the results of a neutron scattering experiment on phonon dispersion relations and lifetimes in alloy Pd0.84-Pt0.16 compare them with those an existing coherentpotential approximation calculation. We find good agreement frequency shape resonance remaining discrepancies are discussed. Then or new CPA calculations for several other alloys compared experimental data resonant localized modes observed by authors alloys. For these systems most cases satisfactory is found position mode, when characteristics suited straightforward application mass defect CPA. The relevance tests also
