摘要: Abstract This review discusses the medicinal plants used in traditional medicine for treatment of hypertension and their reported mode action efficacy. High blood pressure is considered a major risk factor cardiovascular diseases (CVD) strokes. Owing to its high prevalence association with increased morbidity mortality, it worldwide health problem. According data Global Health Observatory (GHO), 2014 about 22% adults aged 18 above were elevated pressure. Between 2010 mean systolic world’s population has stayed constant at 124 mmHg. Historically, number formulations have been use hypertension. Awareness plant based medications therapeutics are continuously increasing worldwide, hence acceptance demand. However, very few these validated scientifically through stringent vivo animal studies clinical trials. Most available scientific confirming antihypertensive potential traditionally lacks systematic on action, efficacy, stability, toxicity safety. In-depth validation required authenticate as alternative complementary drugs
