摘要: Plasma aldosterone measurements using a new radioimmunoassay technique were included in component analysis of the renin-aldosterone-sodium system. The studies involved 27 normal subjects and 51 patients with essential hypertension characterized by low, or high plasma renin activity. Noon concentrations closely reflected state secretion. Thus, subjects, values exhibited relationship to daily urinary sodium excretion similar that for excretion. Moreover, levels simultaneously measured activity linearly correlated over wide range balance, again pointing key role control levels. In 21 hypertension, absolute their relation those observed subjects. 14 concurrent commensurately elevated. A deflection this renin-aldosterone interaction some appeared consequent potassium depletion. contrast, 16 low noon concentrations, under conditions moderately dietary sodium, higher relative simultaneous activity, resulting an abnormal ratio above 10. This interrelation could prove useful identifying further characterizing within category. hypertensive patients, can be used interchangeably rates but full meaning they must still related index balance such as rate have special value short-term evaluating secretion states hepatic renal insufficiency perhaps edematous which impaired metabolism occurs.
