摘要: In the Surrogate Method, measured decay probability of a compound nucleus formed via direct reaction is used to extract cross section for with different entrance channel that proceeds through same nucleus. An extension Ratio Method (SRM), uses ratio probabilities infer an unknown relative known one. To test SRM we compare direct-reaction-induced fission {sup 234}U({alpha},{alpha}{sup '}f) 236}U({alpha},{alpha}{sup sections 233}U(n,f) 235}U(n,f). These ratios were found be in agreement over equivalent neutron energy range 0.4-18 MeV.
