摘要: The room-temperature triboluminescent spectra of single crystals CaF2:1% Tb, Dy, Sm and Eu have been recorded using a high-gain image intensifier spectrograph. spectra, obtained as the were cut with diamond-impregnated circular saw, show significantly more structure than that in photoluminescent spectra. In fact comparable seen liquid-nitrogen-temperature Although details excitation mechanism remain obscure, undoubtedly arise from rare-earth dopants. It is suggested observed splitting lines attributable to triply ionised dopants due rapidly changing crystal fields within vicinity growing crack. Spectral measurements made on natural fluorite mineral part, but not all, emission produced cutting an irradiated sample may thermoluminescent origin.
