摘要: Abstract : The conservation and management of threatened endangered species (TES) their habitats are major issues on Department Defense (DoD) installations throughout the United States. development TES plans implementation practices have traditionally been conducted a species-by-species basis. However, within DoD there has recent shift toward ecosystem-based management, emphasis is being placed managing lands for multiple rather than single interest. This study represents an attempt to develop regionalized, community-based approach that compatible with military mission guidelines. southeastern States was selected prototype plan because region contains large number installations, many which manage resources variety sensitive species. report synthesis information provided in detail Plant Community Management Plans, Faunal Species Profiles, other documents prepared study. These should be used collectively identify understand characteristics, quality indicators, functions, land uses, potential impacts associated communities support diversity Southeast.
