摘要: Older adults are the largest and fastest growing users of wheeled mobility devices (wheelchairs). Research in areas of: utilization; outcomes is very limited. Lack evidence based research often results provision lower quality wheelchairs to aging adults. This problem more predominant for those living Nursing Homes (NH) or other institutional settings. The goal this dissertation work was present a continuum studies, conducted with older that emphasized on: development methodology (utilization review); measurement outcomes; identification problems associated use may pose threat health, safety We anticipate overall will help rehabilitation professionals move towards performing utilization reviews through appropriate clinical environment.
