摘要: Low-level perception results from neural-based computations, which build a multimodal skeleton of unconscious or self-generated inferences on our environment. This review identifies bottleneck issues concerning the role early primary sensory cortical areas, mostly in rodent and higher mammals (cats non-human primates), where substrates can be searched at multiple scales neural integration. We discuss limitation purely bottom-up approaches for providing realistic models processing need identification fast adaptive processes, operating within time percept. Future progresses will depend careful use comparative neuroscience (guiding choices experimental species adapted to questions under study), definition agreed-upon benchmarks stimulation, simultaneous acquisition data spatio-temporal scales, vivo key generic integration plasticity algorithms validated experimentally simulations.
