摘要: The distribution of viral and other microbial abundances as well the concentrations dissolved DNA (D-DNA) along a trophic gradient in northern Adriatic Sea were determined. Virus abundances, covering range 1.2 × 109 to 8.7 1010 liter-1 on average 2.5-fold higher eutrophic than mesotrophic stations. A enrichment was also measured for chlorophyll concentrations, whereas densities bacteria heterotrophic nanoflagellates only approximately 1.5-fold higher. frequency containing mature phage increased linearly with bacterial abundance. Assuming that is visible during last 14 27% latent period (L. M. Proctor, A. Okubo, J. Fuhrman, Microb. Ecol. 25:161-182, 1993), we estimated between 3.5 7.3% population infected at stations versus 7.0 19.5% stations, indicating mortality due lysis might increase degree eutrophication. burst size varied significantly morphotype; rod-shape cells, most abundant morphotype, showed low infection rates but high size. Concentrations D-DNA season not conditions. percentage total averaged 17.1% (range, 0.7 88.3%). Some kind interaction viruses proposed. We conclude (i) significance varies changing conditions (ii) activity may play significant role food web structure under
