High speed decoding of context-based adaptive binary arithmetic codes using most probable symbol prediction

摘要: Context-based adaptive binary arithmetic coding (CABAC) is the major entropy-coding algorithm employed in H.264/AVC. Although performance gain of H.264/AVC mostly resulted from CABAC, it difficult to achieve a fast decoder because decoding basically sequential. In this paper, prediction scheme proposed enhance overall by two symbols at time. A CABAC based on improves 24% compared conventional decoders.
