摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter discusses the cell wall changes during bacterial endospore formation. Bacterial formation is a primitive cellular differentiation that induced by nutrient depletion. An early stage an asymmetrically located division which yields two distinct cells have radically different developmental fates. The smaller engulfed larger and develops into mature spore; mother ultimately lyses. spore characterized its resistance to variety of environmental stresses. There are several periods when metabolism cycle substantially from vegetative metabolism; some these involve new synthesis whereas others degradative. Early microscopy studies enabled investigators identify series intermediates in morphological transition stages now conventionally designated with Roman numerals, bacterium 0. three peptidoglycan sporulation. These correspond (1) small amount associated septum formation, (2) PGCW quite similar wall, (3) cortex.
