摘要: The epidermal growth factor receptor (EGF-R) and the erbB-2 proto-oncogene product protein are closely related by their structural homology shared enzymatic activity as autophosphorylating tyrosine kinases. We show that in mammary tumor cells (SK-BR-3) EGF causes a rapid increase phosphorylation of protein. Phosphorylation does not occur lacking EGF-R (MDA-MB-453). SK-BR-3 is blocked if prevented from interacting with its specific monoclonal antibodies. While induces down-regulation cells, has no effect on stability This result suggests substrate indicates possibility communication between these two proteins early signal transduction process.
