摘要: Thymol is a natural biocide and component of some essential oils from herbs. Its inhibitory effect on the growth different microorganisms well documented. The precise targets antibacterial action thymol not yet been fully established, seems to take place in ways. strain Salmonella enterica serovar Thompson MCV1 was grown presence sublethal concentration (0.01%) thymol. proteins extracted treated untreated cells were subjected 2-D PAGE, followed by in-gel spot digestion subsequent MALDI-TOF analysis. analysis gels showed many that either upregulated or downregulated thymol, with significant changes belonging functional classes. In particular, thioredoxin-1 expressed cells, indicating its absence could be consequence stress caused On other hand, chaperon de novo synthesis such as GroEL DnaK, key protection mechanism toward thermal stress. Outer membrane cells; indeed bacterial envelope response trigged accumulation misfolded outer proteins. Moreover, impair citrate metabolic pathway, enzymes involved ATP. Definitely, plays role altering very pathways cell metabolism.
