摘要: Supported noble bimetallic nanomaterials have attracted great interest owing to their applications in catalysis. Herein, polystyrene-supported Ag@AgAu nanocomposites were synthesized by using a seed-growth route. The size and degree of coverage the NPs could be controlled changing experimental parameters. SEM, TEM, STEM, EDS, XPS analysis was used characterize morphology, structure, composition these nanocomposites. We found that nanoparticles on polystyrene beads had core-shell structure comprised Ag core AgAu alloy shell. optical properties also studied UV/Vis/NIR spectroscopy, which indicated localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) absorptions tailored over large scale from 450 nm 950 nm. catalytic reduction 4-nitrophenol (4-NP) NaBH(4) as model system. results showed activity remarkably superior monometallic Au with same nanoparticle size. In addition, an investigation recycling PS-Ag@AgAu revealed catalyst possessed good stability. enhancement proposed due ligand strain effects between Au.
