摘要: The early reported pseudo-first-order reaction kinetics of the polymer-supported metallic nanocatalysts for model p-nitrophenol (p-NP)/NaBH4 were probably oversimplified. Here a detailed study p-NP reduction by NaBH4 in presence raspberry-like poly(allylamine hydrochloride)-modified polymer poly(glycidyl methacrylate) composite sub-microspheres with tunable gold nanoparticles (PGMA@PAH@AuNPs) was presented. Effects polyelectrolyte concentration, ratio spheres to nanoparticles, and solution pH value synthesis on induction period, time, average rate turnover frequency systematically investigated. Experimental results all cases our revealed an nth order (n > 1) p-NP/NaBH4 catalytic prepared particles. apparent reaction, n, is dependent total surface area coated spheres, which can be closely correlated nanoparticle coverage. mechanism observed activity enhancement proposed based active epoxy groups large adsorption p-nitrophenolate anions onto positively-charged spheres.
