摘要: An attempt has been made to understand dynamically the stagnation in advancement of southwest monsoon from an energetics point view. Recent four cases duration more than 10 days during 2002–2006 have selected. For each case, different energy terms, their generation and conversion among terms computed period also pre-stagnation pentad over a limited region between 65°E 90°E, 5°N 30°N. These computations are based on NCEP 2.5° × re-analysed daily composite data corresponding pentad. From this study it is found that: In most there reduction zonal kinetic (Kz) eddy (KE) compared pentad. In all cases, as well pre pentad, barotropic transfer dominates baroclinic transfer.
