摘要: Non-invasive markers of fibrosis have been used to diagnose liver in a variety diseases. Hyaluronic acid (HA) and collagen IV (C-IV) levels were measured the sera patients from an endemic area for schistosomiasis Brazil rank intensity fibrosis. Seventy-nine adult with schistosomiasis, age range 21-82 years (49 ± 13.4) submitted clinical ultrasonographic examinations. Ultrasound was employed categorise according World Health Organization patterns. Serum HA C-IV using commercial ELISA kits. revealed six intense fibrosis, 21 moderate, 23 light 29 without. able separate individuals those without (p < 0.001) = 0.029), but not 0.692). The diagnostic accuracy 0.89. 115.4 ng/mL cut-off level diagnosed (sensitivity 0.98, specificity 0.64). correlated positively portal hypertension. Periportal (subjective evaluation), collateral circulation predicted increase. In conclusion, we propose that serum can be identify mansoni Brazil.
