摘要: Monogamy as a social system has been both scientific puzzle and sociocultural issue for decades. In this review, we examine monogamy from comparative perspective with focus on primates, our closest genetic relatives. We break down into component elements, including pair-bonding partner preference, mate guarding or jealousy, attachment, biparental care. Our survey of primates shows that not all features are present in species classified socially monogamous, the same way human monogamous relationships may include elements-a refer to "monogamy la carte." review includes neurobiological correlates exploring unique common pathways elemental components monogamy.
