摘要: acute liver failure is a life-threatening condition in the absence of transplantation option. aetiology most important factor determining probability native recovery and prognosis patient. extracorporeal assist devices like Mars (Molecular adsorbent recirculating system) may buy time for or serve as bridging therapy to transplantation, with reduced risk cerebral complications. treatment alleviate hepatic encephalopathy even patients completely necrotic liver. taking this into account, better prognostic markers than should be used assess need failure.
