摘要: The positive operator valued measure (POVM) for a photon counting array detector is derived and found to equal flux density integrated over pixel area measurement time. Since equals number multiplied by the speed of light, this justifies theoretically observation that provides coarse-grained position. POVM obtained here can be written as set projectors onto basis localized states, consistent with description position in recent quantum imaging proposal [Tsang, Phys. Rev. Lett. 102, 253601 (2009)]. wave function describes experiment projection state vector basis. Collapse electromagnetic vacuum not state, thus violating textbook rules mechanics but compatible theory generalized observables nonlocalizability an incoming photon.
