摘要: Financial pressures and an increasingly diverse patient population have made it challenging for healthcare providers to administer education programs that adequately inform patients prior any significant health-related intervention. Ineffective results in making decisions without adequate knowledge which could increase anxiety frustration reduce satisfaction with the experience. Interactive, computer-based (ICBE) may offer a solution will enhance their processes. ICBE require fewer resources; can be scripted multiple languages; power actively engage learning experience by integrating auditory, visual, interactive strategies. The objective of this research was determine if program use influenced hospital patients’ perception satisfaction. The conducted at small located Midwest urban setting. 84 scheduled knee hip surgery who volunteered enroll were randomly assigned either treatment group used or control group. All completed survey instrument after surgery. A t test indicated there not mean difference between groups t(71) = 1.001, p .16. In addition, individual predictor variables regression analysis, Age (R 2 .005), College Degree (R2 .003), Use Emmi .011) combined model .019) did provide meaningful predictive value related each variable (F3, 80 .526, .666). scores very high indicating considerable ceiling effect had little chance demonstrating statistically practically important effect. Although study support relationship satisfaction, analysis information obtained from literature reviews provided valuable additions including best practices beneficial future researchers users programs.
