Improvement in symptoms and cochlear flow with pycnogenol in patients with Meniere's disease and tinnitus

摘要: AIM The aim of this supplement registry was to evaluate the efficacy Pycnogenol® in improving cochlear flow and symptoms a 6-month follow-up for patients with Meniere's disease (MD), tinnitus hypoperfusion. METHODS Main signs/symptoms were considered: Spontaneous vertigo, positional hearing loss, tinnitus, pressure ear, unsteady gait, associated clinical problems, alterations daily life. All subjects managed best available management (BM); one group used Pycnogenol (150 mg/day). Cochlear also evaluated. Out 120 incuded registry, 55 52 (controls) only BM. RESULTS There more significant improvement all items at 3 6 months (P<0.05). number lost working days lower group. At months, 45.4% using completely asymptomatic comparison 23.07% controls. 87.3% compared 34.6% velocity significantly better (higher flow, higher diastolic component) subjective scale decreased both groups (P<0.05); decrease (P<0.05) months. CONCLUSION Symptoms disease, level improved management.
