摘要: The objectives of the study were to evaluate age and teat order on a performance trait, average daily gain, physiological stress indicators, α 1 -acid glycoprotein (AGP), neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (N:L), cortisol in commercial growing pigs from weaning market age. Pigs (n = 129) five California farms weighed blood-sampled at 28-d intervals 28 168 d Laboratory assays performed blood samples quantify cortisol, AGP, N:L. Age facility effects (P .05), found for all three traits ADG. that routinely suckled teats 1, 4, or 6 (numbered anterior posterior upper bank) had similar (P>.05) ADG BW throughout production cycle. No correlation ( P > .05) was between use these as health indices facilities has limitations comparing data different ages pigs.
