摘要: Fungi and yeasts are critical causes of acute infection. As such, the detection identification these organisms crucial in diagnosis affected patient populations. There is a vast array commercial tests currently available for diagnostic purposes. These vary from traditional culture biochemical methods to advanced multiparameter molecular tests. Recent technological advances have driven development rapid which complementing some cases replacing more detection. Irrespective method used ultimate goal timely infectious agent allowing appropriate treatment improved outcome patient.
