摘要: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the use triaxial strength testing as a simple performance test for evaluating rut resistance asphalt concrete mixtures. A total ten dense-graded mixtures were tested using standard tests, which involved performing unconfined and confined tests on specimens cored from gyratory samples. An abbreviated protocol also used characterize mixtures, direct in compression indirect tension (IDT). Six based Marshall mix designs placed Pennsylvania, four upon Superpave New York State. significant range binder grades, aggregate types, gradations represented. It found that provided more precise estimates Mohr-Coulomb failure parameters than procedure, especially cohesion parameter, can be estimated accurately IDT strength. mixture relate very well resistance. an excellent predictor resistance, is promising effective quality control, acceptance testing, design analysis.
