摘要: Abstract Current writings on death and dying are trichotomized into three major categories the basis of how knowledge was acquired: prescientific, quasi-scientific, scientific. Various methods acquisition within each category discussed, methodological problems unique to research outlined. It is argued that, though findings, no matter what their source, valuable in constructing larger, composite picture, all findings should not be treated as equally valid. Rather, some may used supply hypotheses others test them still further validate previous findings.
