摘要: The electrochemical oxidation of 6-mercaptopurine riboside in aqueous solutions has been studied the pH range 2.2–9.5 at a pyrolytic graphite electrode. evidence strongly indicates that 6-mercaptopurine occurs single well-defined peak by loss proton and an electron to give free radical, which instantaneously dimerises corresponding disulfide. disulfide formed was found be unstable decayed pseudo-first-order reaction with essentially similar k values presence absence inert atmosphere. ultimate products controlled potential electrolysis have identified as 6-sulfopurin-9-yl 6-sulfenopurin-9-yl riboside. A small amount starting material also detected. tentative mechanism for formation these is suggested. comparison behaviour presented.
