摘要: Abstract Environmental policies are broadly claimed to rely on sound scientific evidence because of the complexity, uncertainty and diverging political stakes that characterize issues like biodiversity decline or climate change. Classical advisory formats assessments standing bodies have proliferated widely – especially at global national levels yet exert only a limited influence decision-making, particularly in sub-national local implementation contexts. Against this background, scholars called for ‘bottom-up’ approaches Science-policy interfaces move from ‘problem policy’. In area change, numerous ‘climate services’ evolved national, even levels, with promise being more decision-oriented. Four services three European countries (the United Kingdom, Germany Switzerland) investigated regarding whether how they institutionalize enact knowledge brokerage credible, salient legitimate way. Focusing institutional strategic design principles setting policy, insights generated policy field, where comparable settings still lacking.
