摘要: Porous cordierite/SiC ceramics were fabricated by in situ reaction bonding using α-SiC, α-Al2O3, and MgO powders as the starting materials. During sintering, part SiC is oxidized to SiO2 then latter reacts with Al2O3 form cordierite. As a result, porous obtained, are strengthened residual SiC. Due large volume expansion introduced oxidation of SiC, exhibit small sintering-induced dimension variations. In addition, fine-grained microstructure good thermal mechanical properties obtained for ceramics.
